Road: London to Dunmow, along the line of Leytonstone High Road, just cuts the south-east corner of the borough.

Settlements: Buildings at Walthamstow and Leyton.

Burials: Whipps Cross and Leyton.

Roman occupation, at Walthamstow and buildings and a possible farm have been found at Leyton, show that there were people living in the area.
